Migros Recalls Alnatura Seed Mix Over Salmonella Risk
The Swiss supermarket group has withdrawn specific batches of the organic salad seed mix from physical stores and online channels.

Swiss supermarket chain Migros has issued a precautionary recall for the organic salad seed mix manufactured by German organic food producer Alnatura due to potential contamination with salmonella bacteria. The affected items have been removed from sale across all regional Migros cooperatives in Switzerland as well as through the retailer's online delivery platform.
The product subject to the recall is sold under the name Alnatura Bio Salatkerne Mix with the Global Trade Item Number 4104420230538. The measures apply exclusively to packages bearing best-before dates between 3 June 2027 and 13 July 2027. Migros confirmed that other batches of the product, as well as items with different expiration dates, are not affected by the quality issue and remain available for sale.
Health authorities and the retailer advise consumers who have purchased the affected seed mix to refrain from consuming the product. Exposure to salmonella bacteria can trigger gastrointestinal illnesses, with typical symptoms including fever, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea. Migros stated that individuals who have already consumed the product and subsequently experience such symptoms should consult a physician.
Consumers who bought the salad seed mix at physical Migros retail outlets may return the product to any supermarket branch to receive a full reimbursement of the retail price. For purchases made via the online store Migros Online, customer service representatives will contact affected buyers directly to arrange refunds.
