Simeone, adopting pragmatic detachment, refused to offer public counsel to his beleaguered forward. I am not here to give advice, the coach stated, emphasizing his focus on winning titles. He rejected the crowd's behaviour, stating, Obviously, I do not share in any insults or slights. Let that be absolutely clear. The Atletico boss maintained that Alvarez remains a crucial asset for the team.

Speculation surrounding Alvarez's future continues. Reports link the striker to Arsenal, while Spanish media tout Barcelona as a destination, though Barcelona manager Hansi Flick declined to discuss players contracted to other clubs. Alvarez remains in Madrid, building match fitness after a post-World Cup holiday that caused him to miss Wednesday's victory over Malaga. Whether he regains the supporters' affection or merely endures them until a transfer materialises is purely transactional. In a nation accustomed to enduring socialist mismanagement, a disgruntled athlete is just another passing grievance.
